DearBella ("the app," "we," "us") is a movie recommendation app. We care about your privacy and have designed the app to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
DearBella does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, does not use analytics or tracking, and does not show ads. Your saved films and preferences are stored only on your device. To generate recommendations, the app sends limited, non-identifying taste information (such as your selected genres and saved film titles) to our recommendation service. We do not sell your data, and we do not build a profile that identifies you.
The following information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us except as described below:
This information remains on your device and is removed if you delete the app.
To create personalized recommendations, the app sends limited taste information — such as your chosen genres, saved film titles, and current mood selection — to our own secure server, which in turn requests recommendations from third-party services (see below). This information is used only to generate recommendations in the moment. It is not tied to your name, email, device identifier, or any account, because the app has none.
The app relies on the following third-party services to function:
Requests to these services are routed through our own server so that our API keys are not stored in the app. Our server does not create user accounts or retain a personal profile of you.
DearBella is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
